Oral Chelation

Chelation Therapy in the past has generally been administered through IV or suppository form. These methods, while effective do have drawbacks and can be inconvenient.

Chelation therapy uses EDTA, EDTA is an acid, so in a suppository form (well I am sure you can imagine !!!) it can become an irritant to sensitive skin especially if there is any seepage. Also suppositories can only be administered once a day which increases the required time for the course, for this reason suppository treatment can last up to six months.

Chelation Therapy that is administered through IV is expensive and time consuming. This is usually through sessions that last for three hours at a time and over a period of up to six months. Each of these sessions cost a considerable amount of money and over the period you can spend a fortune on treatment.

Oral Chelation Treatments

EDTA is now available in Europe in an easy to use oral form, also known as liquid chelation therapy.

EDTA can come in chelation pills or liquid chelation form and these forms are considerably cheaper than the IV chelation options.

EDTA pills do have a drawback when it comes to absorbency, as the body could pass some of the pills completely through the system without absorbing the EDTA. On average only ten percent of the pills are absorbed by the body, which can result in ineffective treatment and further expense on more pills.

With liquid oral chelation, the EDTA solution absorbency rate is up to 98%, it is mixed into the patient's drinking water and can be taken several times a day. Liquid EDTA Chelation Treatment is much less expensive than suppository or IV treatments and is absorbed easier than EDTA in pill form.
